The Big SCOM Survey 2022
Perception | Usage | Future Plans

The Big SCOM SURVEY is up and running viral again across the entire SCOM community. SCOM lovers of all regions and countries gather for this yearly event to share their perceptions, usage, and plans for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager.

This year is the third round of the Big SCOM survey, conducted by SCOMathon, the learning and community hub for all SCOM-related topics. Experts share their best practice and real-world monitoring examples, helping others thrive better with their Microsoft System Center setup and usage.

This year’s survey results might be astonishing, seen in light of the recently released Azure SCOM Managed Instance, which allows for using SCOM in a cloud environment. Many users have long awaited Azure SCOM Managed Instance (SCOM MI), as this would be the binding glue for transitioning their on-prem monitoring to the cloud. On the same page, releasing SCOM MI, Microsoft clarifies that SCOM will be around for many years. SCOM MI is a significant signal to the Microsoft System Center community, which will undoubtedly delight SCOM users across the globe.
