Global data center demand is set to triple by 2030, with U.S. facilities alone consuming over 14% of national electricity (McKinsey, Business Insider). Meanwhile, data sovereignty rules are tightening worldwide. India, Brazil, and China now require local storage for certain data (Exasol), and the sovereign cloud market is projected to hit $823B by 2032 (Fortune Business Insights).
