Security visibility that goes beyond checkbox compliance

With this release, the management pack now surfaces password policy configurations across your VMware environment and flags deviations before they become audit findings or, worse, vulnerabilities. It’s not glamorous monitoring, but it’s exactly the kind of thing that matters when someone asks whether your environment is actually configured the way your policies say it is.

From alert to resolution, faster

We’ve enriched alert descriptions throughout the management pack with more diagnostic detail, clearer remediation guidance, and plain-language explanations of what’s actually happening. The improvements are designed to help anyone on the team — from senior engineers to first-line support — respond with confidence and resolve issues more quickly.

Reporting that lives where you already work

Rather than sending you to another tool, the SCOM Reporting Console integration lets you analyze VMware operational data using the reporting infrastructure you’ve already invested in. Historical trends, recurring issues, capacity planning inputs — it’s all there, without adding another platform to maintain.

Finally: visibility into scheduled tasks

Automated maintenance tasks have always been a bit of a blind spot. They run quietly in the background, and when they fail, you often don’t find out until something downstream breaks. Scheduled Task Monitoring changes that, giving administrators a clear view of what ran, what didn’t, and what might need attention — before it becomes someone else’s incident.

The SquaredUp community dashboard has been refreshed too
