AI in Observability: Valuable, but Trust Still Matters

Grafana Labs’ 2026 Observability Survey shows that 92% of respondents see value in AI helping to surface anomalies before they cause downtime. At the same time, complexity remains a major concern — reinforcing that more data only helps when it leads to actionable insight.

New SCOM 2022 UR3 Hotfix Available

Microsoft released a new hotfix for System Center Operations Manager 2022 Update Rollup 3 in July. The update includes component and Management Pack updates, making it a relevant maintenance update for SCOM administrators to review.

Azure Monitor Change Ahead: Managed Identity Requirement

From 31 August, Microsoft requires a managed identity for Log Analytics workspaces when adding or updating linked storage accounts. Organizations using Azure Monitor alongside SCOM should review their configurations ahead of the change.

SCOM 2022 UR3: Hotfix Addresses Management Pack Update Issues

Running SCOM 2022 UR3? A July 2026 hotfix addresses two practical post-installation issues: Management Packs not updating correctly and component versions not displaying properly in the Operations Console.
