Observability expands beyond infrastructure into AI and data

Recent Gartner research highlights that observability is rapidly extending beyond traditional infrastructure and application monitoring. Organizations are increasingly adopting dedicated AI and data observability capabilities to monitor model behavior, data quality, explainability, and business impact across complex digital ecosystems.

The shift reflects a broader evolution from simply detecting issues toward understanding why problems occur, what systems or data are affected, and how remediation can be accelerated. End-to-end observability is becoming a foundational requirement across infrastructure, applications, AI services, and data pipelines.

AIOps adoption continues, but operational maturity remains limited

Industry research shows continued investment in AIOps capabilities, including anomaly detection, event correlation, root cause analysis, and automated remediation. However, despite strong vendor focus on autonomous operations, most organizations remain in early adoption phases, with only a small percentage having fully operationalized AI-driven IT operations. This highlights an important reality: successful AIOps initiatives still depend on high-quality observability data and well-established monitoring foundations. For many organizations, observability remains the critical prerequisite for achieving meaningful automation and reducing operational complexity. VMware vSphere Management Pack 6.2

We are pleased to announce the availability of the NiCE VMware vSphere Management Pack 6.2. This release introduces improved password policy monitoring, enhanced alert descriptions, new reports for the SCOM Reporting Console, and scheduled task monitoring, further strengthening visibility and control across vSphere environments.

In addition, the updated SquaredUp community dashboard​ is now available, providing enhanced out-of-the-box visualizations and ready-to-use dashboards for faster insights into VMware performance and health.

Microsoft SCOM 2025 UR1 and Post-UR1 Hotfix

Microsoft recently released SCOM 2025 Update Rollup 1 (KB5068304), introducing support for SQL Server 2025 and TLS 1.3. However, early deployments revealed several TLS 1.3-related issues affecting communication and agent connectivity. Microsoft has therefore published a post-UR1 hotfix that is strongly recommended for all customers planning to enable TLS 1.3.

Recommendation: Deploy UR1 alongside the post-hotfix to ensure stable operation and prevent connectivity issues in production environments. Read more.
